Lucille P. Bendfelt

Lucille P. Bendfelt passed away September 15, 2024, at the age of 97. Lucille was born in Milwaukee on August 24, 1927 to the late Kurth and Elsa (Schmid) Papke and grew up with happy memories of Whitefish Bay and summer travels “Up North.”
Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Harry “Bud” Bendfelt in 2001 and a daughter Kathleen Ann in 1974. She is survived by daughter Linda (Ron) Thacker; granddaughters Amy Ring and Kelly (Jody) Ring-Hall; and great grandchildren Truman H. Hall and Lark Lucille Hall.
Lower Nashotah Lake was home for over 60 years where Lucille had many dear friends and loved swimming, gardening and daily bird-watching. Lucille retired after 27 years with C.W. Brown Printing Company (Oconomowoc Enterprise) where she also made lifelong friendships.
More recent years have been spent in residence at the Three Pillars Retirement Community in Dousman where she has enjoyed the company of staff and residents alike. The family appreciates immensely the wonderful surroundings and loving care offered by the Three Pillars staff.
