OCONOMOWOC — Oconomowoc rode a strong second half to a 28-7 Classic 8 Conference victory over SMÌìµØÂÛ̳ West on Friday, remaining unbeaten in the process.

The Raccoons outscored the Wolverines 21-0 in the second half. A 5-yard touchdown keeper by quarterback Andrew Mirek, his second of the game, put Ocon in front for good with 1:23 left in the third quarter.

The score was set up by an interception by Sebastian Briggs and the running attack spearheaded by Alex Seraphine. Just over a minute into the fourth quarter, Cole Schwefel hauled in a 30-yard TD pass from Austin Munzel to put the Raccoons up 14.

Kashton Allen put the finishing touches on the victory with a 34-yard touchdown reception from Mirek at the 7:39 mark of the fourth.

Mirek plunged in from one yard out with 11:01 left until halftime to open the scoring. West responded when Jamison Larsen hit Gavin Travanty for a 5-yard score with 2:15 to go in the second.

Seraphine had 17 carries for 73 yards. Mirek completed 6 of 8 passes for 72 yards, while Munzel threw for 42 yards. Schwefel and Emmett Bork each had 35 receiving yards on the night.

Chase Larson had an INT for the Wolverines, who got nine tackles from Charles Larson. Larsen threw for 71 yards, completing 7 of 20 pass attempts.
