Marian F. (Houk) Pastors passed away on Thursday, September 5, at the age of 88. On July 31 in 1936, she was born to Wilfred and Mary (Kelly) Houk in Oconomowoc, WI. Her early education was at St. Jerome’s Grade School (graduated 1950) and Oconomowoc High School (graduated 1954). In 1957, she graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing and then received a BS in Nursing from Marquette University in 1965. Marian dedicatedly worked at Cedar Community for 22 years and at the age of 68, retired in West Bend, WI.

Marian and James A. Pastors married on November 13, 1965, and for nearly 50 years, lived a beautiful life. She is survived by her children Louis (Jeni) Pastors, Fr. Jerome Pastors, Francis (Kelly) Pastors, and son-in-law Shawn Gleesing; as well as her seven grandchildren, Jacob, Abby, Reese, Cole, Mason, Elizabeth, Elleanora, and great-grandchild Kyaire. She is further survived by sister Lois Quinney, brothers Dennis Houk and James (Cheryl) Houk, brother-in-law John Narance, and sister-in-law Beth (Howard) Bartlett. Her special friend Fr. Joseph Sam of Ghana, West Africa, also survived her, as well as nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and dear friends.

She is predeceased by husband James, infant son John Basil, daughter Maureen, brother-in-law Ralph Quinney, sister-in-law Charlene Narance, parents, and parents-in-law.

Marian was a devoted Catholic and active within her parish of Holy Angles in West Bend, WI. She enjoyed gardening, following local sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, at Holy Angles Parish in West Bend, WI, with visitation at 9:00 AM followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials of Mass Intentions are appreciated.
