BIG BEND — Wood staining rags have been determined as the likely cause of a massive fire that started around 9 p.m. Friday night at Extreme Exteriors and had area fire departments battling into the night, according to Lt. Ryan Wollenhaupt, SMÌìµØÂÛ̳ County Sheriff's Department.

The sheriff's department and the Big Bend Fire Department received assistance from over 20 area fire departments to fight the blaze.

Extreme Exteriors, W224S8535 Industrial Dr., Big Bend, designs and builds landscaping and outdoor patios.

According toÌýLt. Wollenhaupt, flames were immediately visible at the scene upon the department's arrival at 9:18 p.m.

The incident is under investigation by the SMÌìµØÂÛ̳ County Sheriff's Office.

A damage estimate is unknown at this time.
